JP2360 SCREED
SUMITOMO J-Paver, is the only screed in the world that triples the paving width of the base screed.
JP2360, in fact, extends hydraulically from 2.3 to 6m without any additional bolt-on extension.
The unique features of Sumitomo pavers range from the paving width to the exclusive profile of its screed that allows you to optimize compaction in 3 stages:
- Phase 1: Strike-Off that pre-compacts the material and prepares it for the subsequent compaction of the Tamper.
- Phase 2: Tamper which with its very large base surface allows a very effective compaction and which, thanks to the strike Off, consumes very little energy making the screed very silent, less subject to wear and able to reduce drastically energy and, therefore , fuel consumption.
- Phase 3: vibrating plate for surface finishing and final compaction
Other unique features identify the Japanese product from the rest of the European productions.
The “Mold-Board” devices allow to pre-select the material to be spread by dosing it in an optimal way to avoid heavy accumulations that would compromise its energy efficiency, traction stability and the temperature of the excess material in front of the plate.
Furthermore, the electric heating of the screed is revolutionary, which, during work, uses only the residual energy from the laying phase to keep the screed at target temperature. The hydraulically operated generator is modulated together with the load of the resistances according to the working conditions; the installed electronics, in fact, monitors the status of the machine (floating of the screed, material feed level, machine movements, etc.) and modulates the load of the resistances and the power supplied by the generator in order to optimize energy consumption and keep the screed at target temperature.
The resistances used for the electric heating of the counter deserve a glance; coming from the nuclear industry and intelligently installed, they amaze with their reliability and longevity.
USER FRIENDLY
Among Sumitomo’s missions, the principle of “User Friendly” plays an important role, id est the technology available to the operator to optimize working times by reducing stress and fatigue.
The most evident features of this attention are the silence of the machine, the simple and intuitive operator interfaces and all the registration functions made easier.
Starting from the JP2360 plate with the previously described characteristics, it is possible to perceive how the noise of the laying phase is drastically reduced. The 4-cylinder Isuzu 4JJ1X engine also stands out for its quietness and balance, thus allowing greater comfort for operators.
All adjustments, from adjusting the camber to adjusting the height of the screed extensions, are managed hydraulically in order to always achieve optimal paving without any effort or waste of time on the part of the operators.
REPAIR FRIENDLY
Operator panels equipped with classic toggle switches are a rational choice by Sumitomo which considers ease of use and maintenance more important than marketing aspects in vogue today.
This setting allows any operator to use Sumitomo pavers in few minutes and be able to make the most of all its functions and capabilities without the need of any instruction.
In addition, assistance and maintenance are extremely simplified and economical compared to other technologies used in the sector.
Speaking of maintenance and assistance, how can we not mention another unique feature of Sumitomo pavers: the on-board equipment of a series of emergency tools that allow you to fully or partially activate the paving functions or simply remove the machine from the site during emergency conditions and / or failures.
